Start with a clear goal in mind. In this step-by-step example, we’ll walk you through how to set up a Zap (Zapier’s term for an automation) that automatically posts new Gerätor device listings to LinkedIn.

Step 2: Pick the feed you want to use
Gerätor provides RSS feeds for each listing category. For this use case, you’ll use the Device Listings RSS Feed: https://gerator.com/listings/rss/device

Step 3: Create your Zapier account
Click Sign Up if you’re new, or Log In if you already have an account.
You can start with a free account, but posting to LinkedIn may require a Zapier Starter or Professional plan, depending on your volume and complexity.
Step 4: Create your Zap
Now that you’re logged in, it’s time to build your automation.
Step 4.1: Set up the Trigger
Click “Create Zap”. Choose App & Event:
App: RSS by Zapier | Event: New Item in Feed
Set Up Trigger – Feed URL > Paste this: https://gerator.com/listings/rss/device
Click “Continue” and test the trigger to ensure Zapier can pull in recent listings from Gerätor.
Step 4.2: Add a Filter (optional, but recommended)

Click the “+” button to add a new step.
Choose Filter by Zapier.
